Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

06/20/2006: "Theater"

Wallace Bowl, 19 Jun 2006Whew. Rehearsal went until 11:15 tonight. I would say, sweet -- if I didn't have to get up for work in the morning. You know what? I'll say it anyway. Sweet! When it comes to doing something you like, too much is never enough. Here's what the set looked like around 7 pm today (well, the 19th). It's basically the same as Thursday, but a slightly different configuration of the buildings for a different scene.

Dan, what were you doing in Gillson Park 30 years ago? Some hippie party?

It's hard to imagine Tom, the M.P., as a hippie. But you know he lived in Wilmette in the mid-70s and I went to visit, right? I've still got a glass jar with sand from Wilmette Beach that I scooped up in a Frisbee and took home. Good times. If you ever wonder, what kind of guy is this Dan, he's the kind of guy who'll take some sand from a beach when he's 10, and still have that sand, with a little tag stamped, "Wilmette Beach", over 30 years later.
