02/19/2007: "Theater"

It's audition time again. I've missed several recent audition potentials, since I'm already in "Bye Bye Birdie". It seems as if we're at the tail end of an audition cycle. I went to the audition for "Enchanted Sleeping Beauty" tonight, a children's musical. After that there are only one or two others I see on my horizon -- unlike late last summer when I was able to bounce from one to another until eventually hitting one where I got cast. I try to keep my eyes open, but sometimes I have to wonder how some of these theaters get anyone to show up, since it can require some effort to find out about their auditions and performances. I make the best effort I can, but it's probably more research work than many people are willing to put in.
