Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

12/13/2005: "Theater"

I've updated my auditions list. Yesterday I tried for "Barefoot In The Park". I've already heard I'm not in that. OK, still waiting to get in a show where I've seen the movie version and liked it. Tonight was "Narnia", which is a musical version of "The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe". Holy ochlophobia! This was the 2nd night of auditions and they passed the 100 mark in candidates. I'm not sure how many guys will be cast in featured roles, but there were at least 15 potentials (which means high school age and up). If there are 7 or 8 non-chorus male roles, and if I get cast, I wonder if I should consider it to be a competitively won part. Of course, that's nothing compared to the 2 main girl roles. Those hundred auditioners are mostly girls. Now that's competitive. Then again, if I don't get cast, there's (as expected) another possible audition next week, in the category of plays which have movies that I like: "Butterflies Are Free".
