Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

Drugs

This is just wrong. Or maybe it's just crazy. My co-pay for prescriptions is $15. I know antibiotics are expensive, but today I picked up some that cost me $50. OK, I suppose it's so new there's no generic. But even so, even if I had no insurance, how could it be $50 for only ... wait for it ... 7 pills. That's 7 tablets for $50. And it's only antibiotics! For that kind of money I ought to be getting something with some kick, like some hi quality blue voodoo or something. Something that I could feel where my $50 went at least.

Theater

That's the end of #17 in the Dan Canon. It felt like a pretty good show. Unfortunately not that many got to see it. Too bad. You may not get to see me do that stuff again!

#19 is going to be "Bye Bye Birdie" with me as Mr. McAfee. That was Paul Lynde's role in the movie. That might be worth seeing some time.

Holy canoli. A Friday night show and no one came? People, I implore you. Spread the word across the land. Fly, monkeys, fly. If 50 people show up for the show tomorrow, and another 50 on Sunday, why, I'll be a hero. Save the cheerleader.

Theater

Today I went to my first rehearsal for "The Nutcracker". Yep, just like last year. I believe it was the 7th week of rehearsals. Of course, as I'm not doing any of that serious dancing (like, ballet) I wasn't needed for all the earlier rehearsals. They did slip me into a tiny bit of dancing, like 2 or 3 times my tiny bit last year. But still, it's like the kind of dancing I've had to do in musicals, not the kind the "dancers" do in "The Nutcracker" -- in this case, tap, modern, and ballet. I'm going to be Godfather Drosselmeyer again. 2 years in a row. I guess that makes it a tradition. For me and for the Round Lake Area Park District Dance Studio & Community Theater.

In the meantime, "All In The Timing" opens this Friday at the Jack Benny Center, so I should probably concentrate on those lines. That will be show #17. And thanks to "The Nutcracker" I have once again managed to fit in 6 shows in the calendar year.
