Tonight at 8:00 is the opening of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Round Lake Area Park District on Hart Rd., outdoors behind the swimming pool. I'm not even sure what the tickets are, 7 or 8 bucks I guess. As Egeus, the old man -- which I mean not so much as a man who is old but, you know, someone's dad -- I show up briefly a couple times to kick things off, but I'll have plenty of time to finish several chapters of a book backstage.

Here we see Hippolyta; Theseus; me; and my disobedient daughter, Hermia.
