Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

05/27/2009: "Cary Grant"

There are still some well-known classics that haven't been added to the list. Today's is "An Affair To Remember". Once I started watching it I realized I've seen it before, maybe many years ago. One of 4 movies Cary Grant did with Deborah Kerr, it's the one where they promise to meet at the top of the Empire State Building. It has some weirdly funny (funny-odd?) out-of-place moments, including all the scenes with little kids (often singing) that I could do without, but those aren't overwhelming enough to take away from the heartbreaking tragedy of it all.

And, by the way, it's been a year (plus two days) since I started this Cary Grant Project.
