Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

09/13/2006: "Commercials"

I don't want to be one of those people who thinks commercials are cool, but I do like that one with Audrey Hepburn dancing to AC/DC's "Back In Black". It probably helps that I like her a lot. And I like that song. The fact that it's an ad for the Gap is pretty much incidental and almost not mentioned. She's probably rolling over in her grave, though. If you're a celebrity of any stature, you've probably got to plan ahead if you want to prevent your kids from selling you out to some corporation after you're dead. (Then again, maybe you want your descendants to be able to live off your gravy train in perpetuity. Sweet perpetuity.) I mean, when the inheritance starts to run low, it's got to be pretty tempting to get a pile of cash for letting someone use a clip of dear old mom or dad. That's some easy money. And for some families, a practically bottomless pit of cash.
