Cooper: Diane, last night I dreamed I was eating a large, tasteless gumdrop, and awoke to discover I was chewing on one of my foam disposable earplugs. Perhaps I should consider moderating my nighttime coffee consumption.

Cars

I came across these through the Car Lust blog. Old commercials are kind of fascinating time capsules. But just as fascinating to me is that someone has recordings of these lying around, the recordings are still viable, and they have the right equipment to copy those recordings onto their computers to load onto youtube. Even if I had a VCR in the '70s -- and the tapes were still good, and I had the hardware/software to get them onto my computer -- I always tried to edit out the commercials. What a fool.

Cary Grant

While Cole Porter was still alive, there was a movie biography of his life -- an apparently very fictionalized version of his life. Facts large and small seem to have been moved around, added, or subtracted. Cary Grant played him. None of the other main players were big stars, at least not the kind that are still known. But Jane Wyman was in it. As was the father of the Skipper!
