Theater
Far out. I only went to rehearsal tonight because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to. The schedule only mentioned a scene I knew my character (Ali Hakim) isn't in. But I went anyway, since the schedule seemed kind of vague. I fully expected to say, hey, I came by just in case, and then I'd head on home. Don't I ever get tired of being wrong. It looks like I'm going to be in this other scene as one of the local boys, mostly dancing. Or, I suppose I should say, dancin'. For all I know, if I hadn't shown up, I might not have been included in this number ("Kansas City"). On the other hand, well, they do want some more guys to fill out scenes like this. Even though it does feel kind of greedy of me to latch onto other scenes. After all, this is already arguably one of the larger roles I've had. It's difficult to compare, especially at this early stage before we've even started blocking, but it could very well be right up there with Giles in "The Mousetrap" and Barnaby in "Babes In Toyland".
