Snooks Eaglin

The Live Snooks

head shot

He's got CDs. Oh, yes. I know because I have them. And new ones keep getting released! Some are really new. Some are collections of his really old stuff, probably released on vinyl once, somewhere in the world.

The copyrights on the CDs below are what is shown on the CD. Click on the CD name for a description that should give a better indication of when the songs were actually recorded. I've listed them here in what I think is the best chronological order based on when they were recorded by Snooks.

Discs I know of (all on CD)

The Crescent City Collection is a greatest hits CD. All songs on it are available on other CDs. Also, 11 of the 17 songs on Best of Snooks Eaglin are definitely on other releases. And 3 of the 17 are on the Blues of Snooks Eaglin & Boogie Bill Webb, but that's a live album, so I'm not sure if they're the same. I mention the duplication on these two albums and not others because these are the two I do not own.

The Way It Is is available from Louisiana Music Factory. Thanks to Josh P. for the tip that 1000 copies of this were manufactured for the Jazz Fest in 2002 (?). I guess they're gone now.
